I was looking at leaves and acrobats gourds and scarecrows and the faces of the fall I'm willing to bet someday I'll forget how to love a leaf or love something at all I'm considering choices that have led to this and what it is is I'm working toward things I loved but can't do anymore I was swimming in cheap wood panelling and differences that live inside my doors I was thinking of faces in my head of people that I loved so hard before I was sinking in couches in my head and girls that kissed me on the face before ones I loved but don't know anymore I was living in tv show curtains in bedroom in the houses of my friends I'm considering the ways beginnings end and if I would die to be born again I've been breathing in ghosts and oxygen of people in a sad and gaseous form ones I loved but can't see anymore

My mom moved to Colorado when she was 21 the same age I am now To live with friends who put her up until she found her own two feet and found herself knocked down 'cause then she met you 'cause then she met you 'cause then she met you she told me so When my mom met you, you were just a janitor and she worked in a bar and sold vcrs my mom didn't mind that you cleaned floors, you had a mustache and were married once before I think she loved you I think she loved you I think she loved you but I don't know My mom came back home in fall of '86 when I was very small in her stomach My mom thought you put me there when she felt sick and then for sure when I began to kick she came to tell you she came to tell you she came to tell you but you let go My mom told me once you had a kid, you had a daughter that was six when I was born and I always wondered if she knew that I existed or if she does anymore but I bet she loves you I bet she loves you I bet she loves you and you know her name
