about

Like all of the songs on this e.p., I recorded this in my apartment when my friend left all of his microphones for a couple weeks while we were recording an album with our band The Instruments Band.
Something interesting about this recording, is that there are 6 different tambourines being played at the same time.

lyrics

When I saw the robin I said "What is it you've done?"
He said "I flew into that great big blue and I sang to the sun"
I said "Robin, tell me now, what is it that you love?"
He said "those wires made by telephones, but I don't love no one"

When I saw the mountain I said "What is it you've done?"
He said "I've sat and rolled and I've pushed and pulled and I hoped that you would come"
I said "Mountain, tell me now, what is it that you love?"
He said, I love the snow that's on my head, but I don't love no one"

When I saw the wallpaper I said "What is it you've done?"
He said "I watched you come and leave the room, but forests I've seen none"
I said "Wallpaper, what is it that you love?"
He said "Music from another room, but I don't love no one"

When I saw the mirror I said "What is it you've done"
He said "I've asked robins, mountains and wallpapers that same one"
I said "Mirror, tell me now, what is it that you love?"
He said "I love the way you love me so, but I don't love no one"
